Question: I am hoping to connect my Yamaha F225TXRD to a GPSMAP 943xsv. My yamaha has the command link plug but the description of the J1939 says that it is only compatible with 7600 and 8600 Garmins. Thank you!

This will not work with the 943xsv. You will need something like this, https://www.boemarine.com/yamaha-command-link-to-nmea2000-adapter-cable-w-existing-nmea2000-network.html, the white side goes to command link hub and the other goes to a NMEA2000 t connector.
