Answered by AI Agent on 2026-05-12Hi Arthur, Yes, the NMEA2000 side has a Micro-C Male plug that connects directly to an NMEA2000 T Connector - just screw/click it in. Length: 15 feet. We're selling it at $119.00. Note the T Connector is not included - you'd need one if you don't already have one on your network. Let us know if you need one!
Answered by Jim Maier on 2026-04-15Hi, Yes — the metal-threaded side of our Yamaha Command Link to NMEA2000 Adapter Cable (BOE-003) is a standard NMEA2000 Micro-C male connector, and it screws into any NMEA2000 T-connector (the threaded collar creates a watertight seal). As for length: this particular adapter cable is about 0.5 meter (roughly 18 inches) from the T-connector to the Command Link plug. It's designed to connect from an open port on your existing NMEA2000 backbone to the Command Link hub. If you need a longer run between your NMEA2000 network and the Command Link hub, let us know — we can discuss options.

Answered by Jim Maier on 2026-04-10Each engine would go to a device port on the Command Link Hub and then this cable would go to a device port.

Answered by Jim Maier on 2026-04-10Hey Ricardo, for cable and adapter compatibility, email [email protected] with the models you are connecting and we will confirm.
Answered by Jim Maier on 2026-04-10The issue is that you're connecting the Yamaha engine cable directly to one Garmin unit, bypassing the NMEA 2000 backbone. This means engine data is only reaching that unit. To fix it, set up a proper NMEA 2000 backbone with T-connectors and terminators at each end. Connect the engine cable and both Garmin units to separate Ts using drop cables, and make sure the backbone is powered. This will allow both displays to access engine data from the network.
Answered by Administrator on 2025-12-15You will need to purchase a BUS harness from a Yamaha dealer, this will go to the BUS port on each hub. SIMYAMAHA is a great source for parts. You can use the BOE-003 cable if you have an existing NMEA2000 network. One side goes to a NMEA2000 t-connector and the other to an open device port.

Answered by Jim Maier on 2026-04-10This will make the connection, but it won't do anything. If you have a 6YC then you have Command Link Plus in which case you need a command link plus gateway. Here are some articles that will help https://www.boemarine.com/blog/search/yamaha/
Answered by Administrator on 2025-12-15Reference this article, https://www.boemarine.com/blog/post/yamaha-round-command-link-to-nmea2000, to convert the round gauges to NMEA2000.
Answered by Administrator on 2025-12-15Hey Camden, that is a good question. Email [email protected] with the specific SKU and we will get you the answer.
Answered by Jim Maier on 2026-04-10This cable does not work with a Yamaha 6Y9 and Command Link Plus. It only works with Command Link. You need a Command Link gateway to work with the 6Y9. Here are a couple of articles to help https://www.boemarine.com/blog/search/yamaha/

Answered by Jim Maier on 2026-04-10If you are using this cable, BOE-003, you will need to have an existing NMEA2000 network with a tee/power cable seperate. If you do not want to start a NMEA2000 backbone, you can use the BOE-002 cable.
