Seaview's innovative new modular electronic mounts feature a unique universal plate design that provide a cleaner look and greater installation flexibility. A pre-drilled anodized aluminum plate is incased inside the UV stable white ABS plastic. There are dimple holes on the top surface of the top plate that matches up with a drill template allowing you to precisely drill the appropriate holes for your specific radar. The end result is a nice clean look with no unwanted visible holes.
This is one of Seaview's more popular Modular Top Plates.

The Seaview 5'' modular mounts for the fantom radars as well as others. We have not heard of customers having issues with their mounts peeling. You need the top plate with the Seaview mount. This is the correct plate for your application. The wedge can be different for each boat. The goal would be for the radar to be level with the horizon while the boat is underway or level with the horizon during whichever speed you would like it to preform best at. The 4 degree wedge is the most popular.
