Question: I would like to install this transducer on my 27 foot Boston whaler. The cored hull is thick and from the diagram of the transducer and faring the 1/2” pin bolt is not long enough to reach the interior surface. Can you recommend where I can obtain a 8” or 10” 1/2” bronze bolt or any other suggestion to make this install work?
Thank you

It will not work like that on your boat. Even if you could find a bolt to do that, it would crush your hull coring when trying to tighten it. What you need to do is cut out the inside section of your hull, and area about 18" by 10". Cut out the inner fiberglass skin (bilge) and the coring all the way down to the outer layer of fiberglass. Then use fiberglass to close it all back up. You are basically making a solid section of hull to mount the transducer. Just call if you have any more questions.
