Question: Hi! I want to fish halibut with a 25-feet boat with stepped hull and outboard engine, equipped with Garmin electronics. I typically fish drifting, at the bottom, at 100 - 200 feet depth. Which transducer and what mounting position do you recommend?

The Airmar B175 High frequency would be best for bottom fishing in 100-200ft.

The High Wide transducer on this page is designed for trolling in water up to 500' and has a high wide cone to show you what's suspended in the water column vs what is holding tight to the bottom.
