Jim naturally gravitated to the marine industry during and after college as it was familiar to him. First working at a Boaters World on Kent Island, then doing boat sales in various capacities from local brokerage to 100' boats in Ft. Lauderdale. Finally opening his own brokerage and boat sales business in 2001. Along the way he was able to live the good life operating all kinds of boats in waters from Maine to the Caribbean. In fact he met his wife and business partner, Beth Maier, along the way. In the exotic port of Baltimore while she was taking her boat on a year long cruise from Cape Cod to Grenada and back! Suffice to say, boating is in the family blood!

The boat sales business was a huge success, but he kept getting pulled away from boat sales to help customers outfit their boats. He finally decided to change the focus from boat sales to outfitting, and the company you know as BOE Marine was formed.

Over the years we developed our product lines, resources, personnel and processes to become the nation's leader in Marine Electronics sales. Partnering with premier brands like Garmin, Honda, Simrad, Wet Sounds, Lowrance and more. We have grown our showroom to be one of the best in the industry showcasing all of the newest electronics, lights, and accessories. We have enlisted some of the best people in the industry to our staff. We have helped to grow some of the best online resources for information on marine electronics. Every year we attend several major boat shows and are happy to give back to the people by donating to local club events and fishing tournaments.

Our customer base is diverse. Government, commercial, recreational, search and rescue, and more. Such recognizable names as the US Navy, US Coast Guard, many boats from the TV Show "Wicked Tuna", and more. We have outfitted special ops fast attack boats, fire boats, tug boats, offshore fishing boats, multi-million dollar yachts, ski boats, and more. Our custom work and reputation literally is world renowned, mostly due to our enthusiastic customer base for which we are thankful.

Our upward growth continues today. We have established the company as the #1 boat outfitter in our area with a staff of great installers and a mobile fleet of vehicles. Every year we win regional customer service awards which we are very proud of. In 2014 we opened a RV Dealership with great brands from Winnebago and Heartland to include a great parts department. In 2016 we expanded our service center with multiple indoor service bays. In 2022 we expanded our service footprint with the acquisition of METCo in Stuart FL. We see no end in sight for where our great customer base will take us. We look forward to being your premier outfitter, RV Dealer, and ecommerce supplier for years to come!
