Maximize the coverage under your boat and see what you’ve been missing. The new TM165HW features a high frequency range of 150 to 250 kHz and a super wide 30° average beamwidth, providing maximum coverage across the frequency band. In addition to improving the performance of Chirp-capable fishfinders, anglers using this new wide beam transducer will achieve three times the coverage under the boat compared to our current high frequency Chirp-ready transducers such as B75H.

Wide beamwidth, together with the high frequency range, provides vast bottom coverage and precise fish detection in the upper water column that can sometimes go unseen with narrow beam transducers. Airmar’s new wide beam format also creates crisper and larger return images on the display.

With manual setup, TM165HW is compatible with Lowrance HDS Live/ HDS Carbon, Humminbird Helix, Raymarine Axiom Pro and Simrad EVO 3 sonar units. All Sonar manufacturers will have future releases of software which will recognize Transducer ID™ in the TM165HW and will automatically set to the correct parameters.

      Answer:
It depends which humminbird display you have. For Helix you would need AIR-MMC-HB (9 Pin) For solix you would need the AIR-MMC-14HB (14Pin). Reach out if you have any further questions. Thanks!

      Answer:
It would be included in the packing. The marking would not be on the outside of the shipping box.

      Answer:
If you add this item to your cart, you will be prompted to select a free item, there you can add the MMC-9N mix and match cable and you will not be charged for it. That will make a complete kit also known as the TM165C-HW-9N.
By Emily Wille on 05 January, 2023
Thanks for your reply. I do not want the mix and match cable. Airmar make a one piece cable for Navico which is part # AIR-TM165C-HW-9N is the unit I want. Yours listed with the two cables are part #'s AIR-TM165C-HW-MM and AIR-MMC-9N If you don't have the one piece unit in stock can you get them? Thanks
By Lyndon Lee on 05 January, 2023
That company is advertising the same item that we are. You will receive the TM165C-HW-MM transducer and the MMC-9N mix and match cable. Our price is less than what they are offering.

      Answer:

There is no splitter available.  No such thing in our industry. it will need to be hard wired  You'll need to wire it directly to shichever unit you want to use as your sonar.

One possible workaround would be to get the Mix N Match cable for each unit.  Then you can unplug the ducer from one and into the other if you wanted the ability to use either.  But you can't use them both at once.

      Answer:

Yes, this works fine with the 7608xsv.  You'll use the 8 Pin Garmin cable.  "Garmin 8 Pin Blue Single Band CHIRP Mix N Match Cable"  https://www.boemarine.com/airmar-garmin-8-pin-mix-and-match-chirp-cable-1m.html

      Answer:
We have been seeing some compatibility issues with the TM165HW on the Navico systems. I think it is designed to work through your Port 2. Otherwise it would certainly work through your HDS9 and network. Before installing it on the boat we recommend connecting it to your system and making sure the TM165 is accepted and working properly.

      Answer:
I have heard all sorts of theories on where it is best plugged in, but nothing has ever been proven. I think in your case plugging into the 3D hub would be best, cleanest and most universal. You will want the xsonic cable. We do ship to the UK. The site will quote you rates.

      Question:
      Answer:
The 93sv (not sure I have ever seen a 93CV) will not put out enough power to get the benefits of this transducer. Plus, we have found some incompatibilities of this ducer with many of the Garmin systems anyway. I suggest the GT52 or the GT54 if you have the UHD model. You get nice wide chirp, plus side imaging.
